Hanukkah Menorah is a special candelabrum whose candles are lit up during the eight-day holiday of Hanukkah.

Hanukkah candelabrum made of bronze in the form of a bench with a decorative design. The backrest of this candelabrum is decorated with a symmetrical woven pattern. The armrests are made as whole with the decorative pattern. Both "servant" candle holders - the shamashes - are made in the form of cup on a stalk – are located on the both sides from the armrests. The main candle holders are made in the form of cups in which the special high-purified oil is poured and wicks are put.

History, source, type and date of acquisition
This Hanukkah candelabrum was transferred from the museum in Berdychiv in 1959. It arrived to the museum in Berdychiv from a synagogue.

On the first day of the holiday of Hanukkah the wick of shamash and of the first candle on the right side are lit up with a special blessings. One more candle is lit up on each of the following days of the holiday of Hanukkah, till all the 9 candles will be burning on the eighth day of the holiday. It should be noted that the oil is poured and the wicks are put from the left candle holder to the right one, and the candles are lit up from the right candle holder to the left.

Description of the preservation condition
Three main candle holders (two on the left side and one on the right side), two curly nuts for fastening of the parts of chanukia, the ear of the nut for backrest fastening were lost. This chanukiah is soiled, has scretches, abrasions, oxidation.
Restoration
Restoration is recommended.
